Checked gckey today and it says application cancelled! I have AOR1 and my work permit. Never even got to eligibility or medical. Not sure what is going on. Neither me or my husband recieved an email nor had we recieved a request for more information. Has anyone ever had this happen to them??
 
Okay, don't panic yet.

If IRCC felt either you or your husband had tried to stop the application, it would be labelled as "withdrawn."

A status of "cancelled" is typically only assigned when IRCC has made a significant error. They may, on their end, create a new application and send you the details, or similar processes may need to be taken.

Submit a webform to raise a case-specific enquiry to ask why the status is cancelled.

Ok I did that. Whew if it is just them making an error then ok I can deal with that. Might push ap
 
The two primary reasons why applications are labelled cancelled are:

1. An administrative error on the part of IRCC that requires a new application to be created, and
2. IRCC determines you do not need what you applied for (ie, a citizen does not need a visa).

Balance of probabilities is that yours is an error, since you got AOR 1 and a work permit. If it is an OWP, then you can also be reassured that you most likely submitted the proper documents.

I hope that this is what has happened.

Yes it is an OWP. And I believe all documents were in order. So we shall see.
 
My sponsor (my husband) got an email from IRCC saying that "for administrative reasons" we were given a new application number (likely it was accidentally cancelled/deleted or something). After that, our original application was changed to "cancelled" in GCKey and we were able to link the new application number. It sounds like the same thing may have happened to you, but they didn't contact you first. I hope you get some clarification soon!

Husband got an email saying changes to application see messages. But when I go check there are no messages. He got the email Friday. Hope they let us know soon. I did send a case inquiry so maybe get
