I recieved an ITA on the 7th of February 2018. Already putting the documents together to upload but my major challenge is that my spouse was originally an accompanying spouse prior to the issue of the ITA but due to some crucial family circumstances, he no longer will be accompanying myself and the kids.pls how do i go about effecting this change so that my application pulls through taking that into consideration?

Does changing your spouse to non-accompanying reduce your CRS points?

Will your spouse still complete all of the non-accompanying partner requirements, such as medical etc, AND provide a signed IMM 5406?

yes it does, but not below the CRS points that was considered at the time of the draw that issued me the ITA.yes he will fulfill other requirements
safe for the processing fee that is expected should he had been accompanying.to proceed with the application, it is important i drop him first so as to avoid any complications

Accompany you or not he still needs to finish all of the documents for your application to go through (such as medical check). What is the rationale behind of changing from accompanying to non-accompanying? I'm confused.

In that case, just switch him to non-accompanying in the actual PR application. I'm not sure what happens if you tamper with your profile at this point. It might invalidate the ITA.
