If you are from a non-visa exempt country, then you will need a visit visa to come to Canada. Instructions can be found here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/apply-how.asp

If you don't have strong ties to your home country (no job, no property, no assets) then you might find it difficult to be approved.

even he will state in his letter of invitation that he will shoulder all the expenses during my stay in canada?
we have been talking almost everyday and he wants me to work for him in his company, but for now he is
only inviting me for a visit so we can see if i will like it there.

In order to get any temporary visa you have to show your ties to your home country. If you don't have the finds to pay for your trip or a job or property or family, what is there to prove to the VO that you will leave Canada at the end of the visa?

so you mean my case is hopeless? even if my sponsor will take charge of everything including the fare?
What country are you from

Invite from a single man to a single woman is raising all red flags, especially if you mention that you met through online dating
Do you have a good job? good assets to prove ties to your country
Do you have any travel history?

It's going to be extremely tough for an unemployed single woman, with no travel history to get a visa for Canada No harm in trying but seems very tough, either er you need to build on them or look some other avenues ( research a bit )

As for you "working for him in his company"... No idea how he thinks that is going to work. LMO?

Your best shot would be for him to offer you a job and get a work visa (which is an entire different process than a visitor visa).

I believe that as you describe your situation, your chances of getting a visitor visa (TRV) are low, im not an expert... but.. I dont think is your best shot

I completely understand your hesitation and only wanting to commit to a two week visit. It may work out, but if you spend some time doing a search on the forum for trv refusals you will discover that most are failed because people have not convinced the VO they have strong ties to their home country that would make them leave Canada before end of the visa.

I agree with everyone else unfortunately. There is an extremely high chance your visitor visa will be refused.

Are you coming to Canada to find out if you might want to work here? Or are you coming to Canada to find out if you might be able to have a relationship with this man? What is your main motive?

If you are coming for work, then I would recommend (as others have suggested) that you go the work permit route.

If you are coming for a possible relationship, then it might make more sense for him to visit you.
