Help!!! Working in your nominated province but living in another province. Is it acceptable?

If you are pnp immigrant, can you work in your province but live in another province. For example Ontario nominee candidate residing in Gatineau, Quebec since it's just about 15 minutes from Ottawa, Ontario. But works in Ottawa. Is it possible? And is it legal?
