Help with Visa

I have secured a work placement to work in BC Canada as a ranch cowboy type person.

The company is really cool and said I can come out whenever and for however long I want.

I looked at doing my own Visa and it looked extremely complicated so I have paid for a company called visasimply to help me out.

They seem a little bit odd but their reviews on the internet are good.

I am applying for a Working Holiday Visa.

My question is simply.. how likely is it that I will actually get a Visa?

I am panicking a bit as the visa company cant give me much information but I would be gutted if ive come all this way and I dont get in due to a Visa!!

If anyone could give me any information about how the process goes and what happens that would be so much help!

You'll need to provide more information about yourself. Specifically how old you are and where you are from (what passport you hold).

Whether you qualify for a working holiday visa depends on your age and nationality. Also, I believe all working holiday visa programs are now closed for the year. So the earliest you can apply would be sometime next year (likely March or April).

Another option would be to obtain a closed work permit. In order to do this, your employer must first obtain an approved LMIA. This is a process that can often take six months to complete, requires your employer to advertise the job to prove no Canadian could be found for the role and requires your employer to pay a $1K fee.

Oh - and visa simply looks like a bad company / scam. Lots of negative reviews online. I would avoid using them.

I am from the UK. I am 20 years old and a full UK passport holder.

What would happen if I had to cancel with Visasimply? would that count as a withdrawn application and therefore lose my place?

What should I do? Should I cancel with Visasimply and then try and use a better company?

Please help!

OK - in that case the answer is simple. All UK working holiday visas for 2015 were snapped up months ago (April) and there are none available at this time. The company you are using is scamming you if they are telling you they can get you a working holiday visa now (they can't - it's impossible since there are none left for this year). I would recommend you apply on your own rather than using a consultant service.

If you want to apply for a working holiday visa (this is the easiest route), you will have to wait until the program reopens next year (likely in March). Note that working holiday visas for those from the UK are snapped up extremely quickly (within minutes of the program opening). So you have to be at your computer and ready to apply if you want a space right when the program opens. If you want to apply for a work permit now, then your only choice is to apply for a regular closed work permit. Before you can apply, your employer will need to obtain an approved LMIA (this is something they have to do - you can't do it).

My only other question then is how will I know when it opens?

If it only lasts for 15 minutes what if it is at like 4am and I am asleep, will I miss it?

Is it worth finding a better company to help me?

I am very unsure about what information i will need to get together. It is all extremely confusing.

1) You will have to watch the web site for updates. Right now no one knows when the program will reopen. CIC will post the dates a few weeks before the program reopens.
2) Yes - you will miss it. Again, you have to be at your computer and ready to apply when the program opens.
3) No - I would not use a company for the working holiday visa program. If you want to make sure you grab a spot then I would recommend that you apply on your own.
4) You need to spend some time (likely days, not hours) reading through the information on the site I provided. This is the official Canadian immigration site and it provides detailed information for all work permit programs.
