Dear seniors,

I am asking on behalf of my sister, who is a physician with active employment in Egypt. She applied in April for TRV and the purpose of her travel was to visit me (I am a Canadian citizen) along with my parents (who already have Canadian TRV) for the summer.

I applied on her behalf, providing an invitation letter, thinking it would be a straight forward application but it got rejected. The reason for refusal was "purpose of travel". She visited many countries before like Spain, Turkey and Lebanon.

A month later, she applied but provided more documents mainly her PhD enrollment in Egypt and a conference she was planning to attend in Canada. She got rejected for the second time citing the same reason.

She just received her USA visa last week as she is planning to visit the USA to attend a meeting in August and will be staying with friends for a few weeks. She is wondering if it worth to re-apply for TRV for a 3rd time this time from the USA.

Thanks!
PS. Applied for GCMS notes but yet to receive anything.

Usually if she have US visa her chances are high to get TRV visa

Try to have specific purpose of visit like attending a wedding party

Good luck

US visa is much easier to get. Once she has returned to Egypt from the US her chances of approval increase. The only travel history that counts is Spain. When did she go, for how long and what for? The fact that your parents are also travelling creates more problem. Guessing she isn’t married and doesn’t have children.
