Hi,

I'm filling out the form right now, but several things I need clarification on.

D.7)

If you intend to work in an occupation that requires licensing in Ontario, do you have a certificate of qualification issued by a provincial or
territorial body? (attach supporting certificate)

Yes |No | Not Applicable

My NOC is 2133, also is there is list for professions requiring licensing in Ontario?

Secondly.

When the form says, copy of this and that. The copies mean photocopies that has been Notarized as "Certified True Copies" ??

About IELTS and ECA, do I have to send the originals?

Are there any originals, that I have to send?

All copies need to be "Certified True Copies", even passport scans?

Thirdly.

About work experience. Along with the letter of experience, do I need to send pay stubs/contracts as well?

Thank you.

I am quite sure that Electrical Engineering is a regulated occupation. Do a google search. This might help too - http://www.peo.on.ca/index.php/ci_id/2057/la_id/1.htm

Yes you need photocopies of everything. They are quite clear in the Application Guide. "You must send only copies of supporting documents unless otherwise stated."

The only thing you need to submit in original are the Canadian transcripts (in sealed envelope).

About IELTS and ECA, do I have to send the originals?
No. Submit photocopies. They never mentioned they want originals.

Are there any originals, that I have to send?
Nope. Just any of the transcripts from a Canadian school has to go in original, and in envelope by the school.

"If you have a Canadian degree, provide the following documentation:
o A certified true copy of your degree granted from an academic institution in Canada; AND
o Official transcripts submitted by you in the original sealed envelope from the academic institution in Canada that granted the degree."

All copies need to be "Certified True Copies", even passport scans?

No. Just your Canadian diploma or degree has to be certified by a Notary Public. It costs about 30 bucks to get it certified, I got mine done yesterday. If you were to get every document certified, you may go broke by the time you submit application. :p :p

Thirdly.

About work experience. Along with the letter of experience, do I need to send pay stubs/contracts as well?
If you have then for sure. I am sending the pay slips, the job offer (more than one year old), T4s, and Notice of Assessment. I got raise at the end of year, so I am providing proof of that too. The more you provide the more it will look good on your application.

Thank you.

I had applied last year in 2014 under FSW; however never received a CIC file number maybe because the quota was filled.

Should I tick YES for any previous applications for PR to CIC or should I tick NO?

Thanks!

The general rule appears to be Yes if you have a UCI already and No if not.

The question A.3 actually states "For applicants currently in Canada" so i didn't answer this question.
Its Question number 3 as follows.

Have you already submitted or been included in an application for PR to CIC?

Should we say N/A in CIC file number as I applied last year but maybe quota filled up and I didn't receive any CIC file number.

Thanks for the info,my profession (engineering) is regulated for sure, but the question is weather or not I need license to practice it since the website also says

The following professions are regulated in Ontario. To work in a regulated profession, you must be registered by the appropriate regulatory body. You may be able to work in a related field without a licence, but you should first check with the regulatory body to understand what restrictions exist. It is illegal to use the job title restricted to regulated professions without a licence or certificate from the appropriate regulatory body.

Also at http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/working/OI_HOW_WORK_ENGINEER.html

Not all engineering graduates in Ontario are professional engineers. A professional engineer must satisfy the requirements set by PEO to earn a licence. However, you can work in engineering without a licence, if a professional engineer supervises and takes responsibility for your work.

So, do I tick NO or Not Applicable?
