My wife's application was sent in late last year after being returned due to outdated forms. After resending it, they've accepted it, and the only speedbump thusfar was that they required a new marriage certificate, which was awkward because Sweden doesn't really have them, but we provided the paper that the Swedish tax office said can be used for foreign marriages.

Now the next issue is the medical evaluation, we are currently unable to do it, as we cannot get to Calgary as no times are lining up, so instead, we are flying her back to Oslo for the exam, and have it all booked. But the problem is that I've sent them a case specific inquiry saying we might need extra time as we don't know if the doctor has the Emedical system. All we received is the generic response. But we will get it done within the 30 day period, as well as the biometrics, which expire at a similar date.

And the final issue is that they transferred the application to CPC Mississauga. Now I don't have any idea why they did that, and when I called, literally all the officer said was "efficiency". Nothing more, and nothing less. First I read that it could be to evaluate my sponsor eligibility, but I've already received that email, and I've also read that it can speed up the normal process.

I plan on getting the case notes sometime next month as I want to wait it out. But as of today, we haven't received anything on our additional documents that we submitted, just that they are under review, how long does it normally take.

I apologize for the long post, but I have slot of questions and due to my shift, no time to really call in, and when I do, I'm not given any detail. Any help is appreciated and I can provide more information upon request.

Thanks in advance, Graysen.

CPC M is a good thing, they process apps quickly. They allow extensions for medicals, you can always call and make sure they got your note.

How long do you think the average time at CPC M could be? We've been going through immigration for our 3rd year now, one year in Sweden (I successfully immigrated, but returned due to no work haha) and then our app was returned, and now it's just getting annoying to wait so long just to be together

Outland apps are processed with a target of 12 months. Outland are often processed faster than this, especially at CPC M, but there's no real standard.

The advantage as I said above is they are known to process applications quickly. It doesn't mean your exempt from any issues or rejections if there's problems with your application, but as long as your relationship is genuine and you completed the application package fully and truthfully you don't need to worry about much.
