Hey everyone!

Common-law outland applicant here. My Canadian partner and I have a child together who was born here in Canada (i.e. Canadian citizen) and thus does NOT require immigrant processing. I've included his birth certificate and passport in the application, and have included our child as a dependent throughout our entire application.

I just hoping to get clarification regarding a question on the most recent document checklist (Oct 2017)"

PART B - SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
- SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS FOR SPONSORED PERSONS
- QUESTION 3: ACCOMPANYING CHILDREN'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
"I have included children in the application who will receive an immigrant visa at the same time as me"

I am unsure as to whether I tick YES or NO. Our child does NOT require an immigrant visa, but our child IS included in our application as the instructions are quite clear that you need to declare all family members in your application.

Your help would be most appreciated!

Just to follow on from this, Question 5 of the same checklist asks for "
Supply two (2) recent photos for each of your accompanying family members and yourself"

I have obviously obtained photos for myself as the Principal Applicant. But do I really need to provide photos for my child? Yes, they are technically accompanying me to Canada (my child was born here and is a Canadian citizen), but my child does not require immigrant processing so I cannot see why photos are needed (he won't need a PR card!).

If anyone could help me I'd be VERY grateful. I'm very close to submitting and just want to make sure I have done everything right!

Your Canadian Child will not require a visa so that is No. But your children who are accompanying you YES Photos are only required for the Children who are being sponsored.
