Hi Guys,

I am in the process of completing an application under the Canadian Experience Class and have a couple of questions I was hoping someone could advise me on. Even if you can answer one or two of the below I would be very grateful !

- On the Generic Application Form (IMM 0008) where it asks in q10 your current country of residence - for the "to" date should I put the today's date or should I put the date that my current working VISA expires (Jan 2016)?
- Do I need to complete an English language test if my citizenship is in England?
- On the travel document, do you really have to state every country visited in the last 10 years? And if so, is there anywhere online where you can look up your entire list of countries visited. I am pretty well travelled and would have no way of remembering every trip I've been on in the last 10 years!
- For listing the places you have lived in the last 10 years, during my university years I had several addresses but would I be able to state my family's address instead as I would reside there during many weekends and over summer/xmas?

Thanks in advance for the assistance!

Pete

Today's or the date you sign the application.

Yes.
- On the travel document, do you really have to state every country visited in the last 10 years? And if so, is there anywhere online where you can look up your entire list of countries visited. Yes, that's why they asked for it. And no, I hope there won't come a day where an online database tracks where everyone is and has been. It's a bit Orwellian and as a Briton you should know! ;)
- For listing the places you have lived in the last 10 years, during my university years I had several addresses but would I be able to state my family's address instead as I would reside there during many weekends and over summer/xmas?
What was your primary residence? Use that address.

Thanks in advance for the assistance!

either the date you sign it, or end-of-visa date is OK.

Unfortunately, yes. Can be hard to get a spot for the IELTS, you may have a shorter wait for the CELPIP

- On the travel document, do you really have to state every country visited in the last 10 years? And if so, is there anywhere online where you can look up your entire list of countries visited. Yes, and can't help you there. If you're from the UK and did most of your traveling out of there, you can check with their immigration controls to see if there are any records...

- For listing the places you have lived in the last 10 years, during my university years I had several addresses but would I be able to state my family's address instead as I would reside there during many weekends and over summer/xmas?

You can have overlapping dates, just no gaps. They do want to know the address of physical residence, so how I handled that was listed my family's residence as my "permanent residence" and my uni addresses as "temporary."

Good luck - this part is very tough if you've travelled or moved a lot!

You will need to do an english test. I am from the UK and made the stupid mistake of thinking i didn't have to do one. Get on that ASAP they can take a while.
