Hi All,
I am an international student in Canada now, and my parents, my sister and my sister's son (my nephew) would like to visit me next summer, during my nephew's summer holiday.
on Nov.5th, I helped them submitted all application materials online, and it was one application (4 people). After submitting, I can see there are four individual visa application No., each one for one of them.
On Nov.10th, my parents' and my sister's visa application updated, "new" as the message were seen in the column of "message", and when clicked "check status and message", we can see a new piece of information titled "original passport request"; so I know this means their application has been approved; However, at the same time, my nephew's application only showed "read" in the "message" column, and no information asking for his passport.... (not allowed to upload picture to you the screenshot, sorry..)
One day later, for my sister's application, "new" in the "message" column automatically changed to "read", but the information asking for passport is remained the same...
....SO....my question is, what does this mean for my nephew's application?? Is this a "no"/"decline"??? But I think they should have a clear "no" if they really decline the application right?? Or, does this mean the visa officer has not made his/her decision, and we just need continue to wait??? or something else?? (If the latter is true, then what I do not understand is, 3 adults and 1 11-year-old child, there is no reason that the officer feels some concerns about the 11-year-old boy's application while he feels all good about the the boy's mother and grandparents, right?? I mean he is dependent on his mother...)
...I do have a thought..I know it is kinda stupid to think like this..but if there is any chance that the visa officer forgot my nephew and only approved the three adults' application?? ..if this is possible, is there anything I can do now?
Thank you very much !!!
