Back in June I submitted my application for PR via EE. The medical test was issued on April 30th 2017.
The application was rejected because of an issue with my police report, but my lawyer managed to issue a new nomination certificate from my province and I applied again for PR on Sep 18th, using the same medical report issued on April 30th. I didn't know back then that the expiry of the COPR is tied to the to the expiry if the medical report. My lawyer failed to tell me that. The good thing is that I passed my medical test yesterday.
The thing is that I'm worried that the visa will be issued to close to the expiry of my medical exam, I don't know if at work they can grant me a short vacation to land at such shot notice assumingly. My lawyer told me that I can sit for another medical and she can send via case inquiry, but will they use the new medical report, or will the discard it? She also told me that we can ask via case inquiry if they need me to sit now for a new medical or when the visa is almost issued.
You guys, I don't want to end up having like a week on my visa and getting stuck at work with no chance to travel, and I need my work's approval to travel because they are the ones who can issue me an exit permit.
What do I do? Shall I sit for another medical or ask CIC if I should? Does CIC still issue visas with such short validity, or have they stopped this practice? Is it true they contact the applicant asking if they are available for landing or ask you to do another medical??
