Help, What can we do for Background Check??

Hi Friends,

The processing time of my PR application has passed 6 months, but CIC said they are still waiting for the background check (or Security check) of my wife, which is the only item not completed yet.

Usually, how long does it take to finish the Background Check for our ordinary people? What can we do for this kind check? Any way to speed it up? Many thanks. Waiting desperately... Any suggestions are much appreciated...

There's nothing you can do to speed it up. All you can do is wait. How long the background check takes is influenced by the country you are from. If it's difficult to obain records from your country or records aren't well kept - it means the background check will probably take longer.

hello. to be honest you cant do anything to speed up your background check. its gonna take its time. i am 4 months after aor and my background check is still stuck . dont know for how long .
