Hi. Here's the scenario. My dad is planning to attend the wedding of my sister on September. He has his visa already. (single entry) it is valid up to SEPT.7,2012. the problem is, the wedding is moved to SEPTEMBER 23,2012. So it means by that time my dad's visa is already expired. Do you know/have an idea on how can we deal with it? Thanks. I hope you can help with this one.

Once he's in canada he can apply for an extension to his TRV but apply atleast 4 weeks before its expiry date. Normally if for instance, you reach Canada on lets say September 6th the date on your Visa expiry is September 7th and if they havent stamped or written a date on the passport(at the airport immigration) at which date the person entering canada should leave then normally you can stay upto 6 months.

Hi. As far as I know, one can enter Canada before expiration of the visa which on ur Dad's case, Sep 7... from the date of entry, he can stay up to 6 months. So I guess he should be okay, as long as he enter Canada before Sep 7.
