Hi guys, I received PPR on March 16, and have submitted the passport to the processing center in Manila the soonest possible chance (today, March 21). However, I have a pre-planned non-refundable travel booking outside the country on April 5-18, and another one on May 13. I included a letter to my submission explaining my situation. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to return the passport? Has anyone been in this situation? What would you guys recommend?

Unlikely you'll get it back on time.

Could you not have submitted your passport after your travels? Don't you have 30 days to send it in?

They mentioned 30 days from PPR, which is going to be April 15 (and I'm still abroad). If I request for an extension, and submit it on April 19, the next trip on May 13 would be another problem :'( How long did it take for them to return the passport for you guys (and which visa office)?

I received my passport on the 3rd week (mid) after sending it to the Manila VO. You can request for an extension. I have the same case as you. I had PPR 1st week of October 2015 but my passport is not with me as I was applying for a UK visa for a vacation. I'll have a US trip for 3 weeks in November (for work) and my UK trip 1st to 3rd week of December 2015. So it is reasonable that it would not make it in time should I send it to Manila VO for visa stamping.

I requested extension providing my trip details (plane tickets and itinerary) and I was advised that they made that note in the system and just advised me to submit it upon my return. Their deadline was 2 days after I arrive from my December UK trip. They are considerate about this as long as you provide them with the reason and the corresponding documentation.

(I'm already here in Toronto since last year) :)

One day after we submitted the passports, I checked online and found this:

Final decision Your application was approved. Check your messages below for details.

Woohoo! I hope it means we'll get our passports soon!

Does anyone remember how long it took you to get your passports back after online status says "Your application was approved"?

Hi RDL,
I have a similar scenario - I have got a PPR on June 5th. As of June 12th our passports are still at the Danish Embassy for a Schengen Tourist Visa stamping. We are scheduled to fly out on June 25 and back on Jul 9th 2017. I have written to the New Delhi Visa office as well as the Ottawa office.

How soon/late did they send you a response accepting your request?
To add to the confusion, I received a second copy of the PPR email with no change except the date is June 9th. I am very confused and scared cuz I don't want to lose out on this opportunity after having come this close to getting the PR. Any information will be real helpful.

Thanks!
