You could get a tourist visa, yes, but given that you have a boyfriend in Canada, the officer could still think you won't be leaving Canada at the end of your stay, thinking you would want to stay there with your boyfriend. The mere fact that you have a boyfriend in Canada could result in a refusal of your tourist visa, along with your travel history. But you do have a chance it will get approved. I don't see what else you can do to convince them you would get back to Panama, it seems like you've done all you can already. Good luck.

Technically, yes. However, I wouldn't recommend you to lie to them. They may catch the lie and it could have effects on you for that. If you later on apply for a sponsorship, for example, and they find out you lied to them before to get to Canada, maybe that could be seen by them as misrepresentation and ban you from entering Canada for five years. It is a risk that you would have to assume if you choose to lie to them.

If you get your tourist visa, bring with you any documents you have to show you will be returning to school, receipts for tuition paid and schedule of your classes etc. Also if you can prove you have property like the 2 cars in Panama, then bring the registrations in your name or bill of sale to you for the cars. If you can prove you have ties to your home country and that it is likely you will be returning, there is less of a chance they will hassle you. When my partner came to visit me last January before we submitted our application for family sponsorship, he had a letter written by his boss saying he was expected back to work on a certain date and the return ticket, other than that, he didn't have any other proof as he doesn't own significant property at home but he did indicate that he was here to visit his common-law partner. He said they didn't even ask him for the letter. So it really depends on what agent you get when you enter Canada. He is from Chile and he doesn't need a tourist visa only an eTA, so I don't know if they are more lenient with persons who are from visa exempt countries. Good luck to you, hopefully they approve your tourist visa and that you won't be hassled at the border if you end up coming.
