Hello!

I'm currently waiting for my work permit extension which is being handled by my company's agent.

On the side, I went through upfront medical exam for my CEC inland PR application. My company is not involved in this.

Now..my company's agent comes to me with a notification from CIC asking me to undergo additional medical tests. I know work permit extension does not require medical exam. Is it possible that CIC got things mixed up? They combined my medical exam for PR with my work permit extension???

I don't think they mixed it up. Maybe they found something on your medical test so they want you to take more tests...

I did not undergo any medical test for my work permit extension. I only did a medical test on my own for my PR application.

As far as I know, it isn't possible to designate a representative for a specific application when you have mutiple applications in process. You have only one account with IRCC and you have designated this company agent as your representative, so I am assuming that the agent is now getting all of your IRCC communication, including for your PR app.

Oh my...this is troublesome...but I have not submitted my PR application yet. I already have ITA and just went through medical exam.

In every Application you have separate question for representative so I quess It should be possible to have one with representative and the other one without. But True is that cic have Information about representative and by mistake decided to Call representative instead of applicant especially when he/she didn't fill application for PR yet

The doctor already uploaded your results so CIC has access to your results. They have advised you early to do furtherance tests so as not to slow the process in you passing medicals when you do submit your application.

IRCC also called the clinic I used also called me for further tests before I submitted my application. This is because the medicals are assessed by the IRCC doctor as they are received to avoid slowing down your application. All the best!

Thank you for your reply, I sort of panicked there for a moment...but I will still call CIC tomorrow to clarify why they contacted my agent for my work permit application.

A lot of instances of representatives receiving PPR emails in error have been seen on this forum. So please ask the rep to keep an eye out for you when you do submit your application.

It seems IRCC is not updating records accurately and/or based on latest application requests. Lots of past reps have received emails.

I hope it's just a matter of correcting their records. I really hope they won't delay my work permit extension because of my PR medical exam. I have been waiting already for 2 months for my work permit extension. :'(

I hope you are able to submit your application soon as you are entitled to a BOWP. This is usually approved once you pass the R10 completeness check after you send in your PR application.
