Hey all,

I need some help, I just received a strange voicemail from an automated voice, that came up as No Caller ID. They called twice and the message told me my application was complete on March 29th (which it was) and referenced my exact COPR document # that appeared in my account. The message said that I wouldn't receive residency until November 2021 because of "infrastructural delays", and then told me to check my messages online???

But I checked my account, and there are no updates or mention of this anywhere. I haven't even received my COPR document yet....has this happened to anyone else???? It has me a little freaked out....

Weird. You could always call IRCC yourself to confirm if the message you received was legitimate.

I was gonna do that, but they are only open until 4 PM for calls, but it's past 5 now, and it's a bank holiday tomorrow, so I won't be able to find out until Monday... :(

Was just hoping this had happened to anyone else.....

I haven’t seen anything about this elsewhere. It could be legitimate, but if you are inland, there’s no reason for them to delay your COPR issuance. That’s the part that seems really weird to me. You won’t know for sure until you receive a message in your account, or you can call them next week.

Yeah, it's really strange. The fact they had my document number, my name and knew when I had been approved. But exactly, I'm inland, why would they say my I wouldn't receive residency until November 2021 because of "infrastructural delays"? And I haven't seen anyone else post about this? So weird........

I'll have to wait to ask them about it next week :(

When you do call, just also make sure that they have the correct address for you. In case they somehow seem to think you are outside Canada for some reason.

Either that or all the printers at IRCC broke all at once while your COPR was in the print queue...

.....so, turns out it was my friend pranking me for April Fools Day, in the absolute meanest way possible....I was actually nearly onto the fraud agency and everything, SO freaked out. I'm ordering a takeout and going to go lie down for a while....
