I really appreciate it if someone could help me out here. Please, please, please.

I have a Master degree (3 years) in Canada, IELTS 10CLB or more for all the four, 1 year Canadian work experience. What I am confused now is that I get 50 points on Skill transferability factors-Education, while what I should get is only 38.

Under With good official language proficiency and a post-secondary degree
I only have a master degree and a very good IELTS score, I should get 25 points.

Under With Canadian work experience and a post-secondary degree
I only have a master degree and 1 year work experience, I should get 13 points.

So the big question here is that, why did I get 50 instead of 38 points?

I do have a bachelor degree in China, but I didn't include this info in my profile, cause I don't want to do evaluation. I ONLY put Master degree under education.

Could someone please share some insight? I already withdrew my profile and put up a new one, I still get 50 in stead of 38! Or am I the one who is wrong not CIC?

Masters degree is a post graduate credential not a post secondary credential. Having a Canadian Masters degree implies having completed a post-secondary Bachelors degree in the past as well without needing an ECA for that degree.

Masters degree is higher on the educational credentials grid than '2 or more...' option so the system is accurately giving you 50 points for the combination of Education & IELTS.

All the best!

Thank you sooooo much, I was sooooo confused at the beginning. Looking forward to the next draw, hope it won't be higher than the previous one 453.
