(help seniors)visa reject today with reason "other " applied from abu dabhi

Hi All,

Would appreciate if seniors help me .
I had applied for two year diploma in Business Finance from Sheridan for their Jan 2018 intake on 6 Aug 2017. got rejected today.
my profile was
10 grade 79%
12 grade 69%
Ielts 6.5 (no one below 5.5)
Two year Bcom 53%
Two year BBA 3.5 GPA
3 and a half year banking experience from Pakistan.
I applied for my kids study permit as well . I have three kids .my husbands works in UAE , he will not accompany me. He didn't apply his visa because of fear of rejection of our application.

I will reapply but should I wait for CAIPS notes. if anybody have idea why they rejected for other reason please share your experience

How convincing do you think the case was that you put forward that a business finance course would enhance both your qualifications and the fact you have already spent 3.5 years working in a bank.

no . medical was not necessary in my case .

get caips and re apply but I dont know anyone who got visa for diploma in first attempt they don't give visa for diplomas easily

I don't think it makes sense to be taking a diploma in Finance given you've already completed two other finance related programs and also work in the field. Did you explain why you want to take this specific program?

Taking your three children with you likely made CIC concerned you have plans on remaining in Canada long term.

Also, your BCom marks are quite low.

Based on the info you provided, I would say that all of these things likely worked against you.
