Hi guys,

I want to know would their be any prob to apply fr student visa under university category after dec 01?

It is clearly mentioned in CIC website that their would be possible delay and rejections if you apply after dec 01.
My problem is if i get an admit from a university by November mid week for Jan 14 intake and by the time i get loan processed and etc.. it would be around dec 1st week by the time i file Visa.

So want to know is it ok to apply to after dec 01 or is it better to deffer offer letter to next fall(which i do not want to do).

The checklist clearly says that "Applications that are received after 01 December for January entry will not
normally be processed in time for the start of classes and will likely be refused."

So you need to hurry mate

If you are a genuine student and delay is genuine.
Noone will be rejecting you

It depends on profile to profile. If your case is strong, applying within 1 week from the last date will not impact your application. Check on this forum in the search option, you will find many students have obtained visa after they applied post last date. But don't make it too late. It should be okay to apply by 5 or 6th December. (also remember as the Christmas break would most likely start from December 15 or 20), it's a good idea to apply at the earliest. Check the VFS / CHC site for holidays.

I still have not got the admit.I called up the university and they mentioned by nov 15th they would send an admit.

I figured out i would need 15/20 days to file for visa once i get the admit.VO would notice that i have got the admit late hence, I have filed the visa very close to their deadlines right??

Since i have got the admit late that can be considered to be a valid reason for accepting my visa file with delay?

I would strongly suggest you to look for May or Sep 2014 if you are expecting a delay in filing for visa....
i got my final result from DU on 29th June 2013, 30th june was sunday,applied for georgian college on 1st july...recieved letter of acceptance on 13th july and applied for visa on 1st august.
Still my application was refused.
my profile: 10th 80%
12th 85%
UG 75%(DU regular)
IELTS 7.0
no backlogs ever,no year gap

i dont think their is any point in making your chances slim on your own...rest depends on you.
