Good Evening everyone

I was lucky enough to hear my pr will be finalized soon. I recent received an landing interview request from IRCC says that:
'We are pleased to inform you that the processing of your application for permanent residence will be
finalized at an interview that is scheduled for 9:30 AM on January 10, 2020'

This is supposed to be a fantastic moment however I have a vacation plan starting from Jan 12 to Feb 7 and my air ticket has already been booked.

I know I could reschedule it to another date but I would rather not since God knows when my next appointment will be rescheduled to.

So my question is: Is it possible for me to do the landing at the airport on Feb 7(when I fly back to Canada) instead of doing this inland interview? I believe this is the most ideal solution for me so I can enjoy my vacation and then do the landing at the airport.

In the email from IRCC it only says that if you can't make it please reply and reschedule; it doesn't give me the chance to select my preferred landing options. I know they prob though the inland interview was the best option for me because the interview location is just 5 mins walking distance from my place. But considering my vacation plan I really prefer to land at the air port.

Any thoughs or advices?

Your interview is on January 10th and your vacations are from January 12. Why can't you give your interview on 10th?

I think once I attend that interview I will become a permanent resident and I have to wait for at least month for my pr card to come before I can go out of Canada.

If you are a PR, outside Canada but do not have your PR card with you, you can apply for a PRTD (Permanent Residence Travel Document) to enter Canada without a PR card. PRTD is a one time travel documents that can be issued to PR's to enter Canada if they do not have a PR card with them.

You are right dot but I don't think I am able to get it within 3-4 weeks. I might have to extend my vacation until this travel document is issued and I only have limited vacation date.. But thanks for the help and I'll email IRCC meanwhile see what they say.

PRTD usually doesn't take more than a week. Google for PRTD processing times.

I heard there is a faster processing service for PR cards, you just have to provide them a good reason for needing it, i suppose travel plans would be included in that.

I don't think even then it'll be ready in two days, but you could have it sent somewhere a friend or relative could mail it to you where you're travelling.

i don't think delaying the pr interview is a good idea.
