I guess you are trying to fill out the form IMM0008E. I am making an attempt to answer the 3 questions for you with the best of my knowledge. Please find them below:

1) New Delhi Visa Office since you are applying from India and residing there. I assume that you are applying as a Economic Class Federal Skilled Worker.
2) You need not state the exact place you will be staying, but in general, a province. For example: Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, etc. You can change it at a later stage if you wish. You have to do a little hard work here in researching which is better place for you based on different parameters. Too many websites are available with all the information you need!!!! It is purely your choice. Remember, bigger cities will have greater chance of finding any job - need not be in your area of specialization (read it survival jobs) and you can move to any other city once you are there.
3) Leave it blank except if you have applied under immigration for Quebec

Hope it helps

Hi ASK,

Thanks for the reply.
Your assumptions are correct and so i have followed your answers in my form.
But,you said "I guess you are trying to fill out the form IMM0008E"
when i m actually filling out a form with the name IMM0008ENU_2D
How are these both different form each other.Am I filling out the wrong document ?

What you have mentioned is the full name of the form. What I mentioned was a recollect of the form name from my memory. I read only your last post regarding the form. Hence the error. Kindly excuse. You are indeed doing the right thing. Hope you finished filling the same without any hassle and don't forget to validate the document. Once validated, do not change any information in the document. If you want to change any information, please validate again.

Hope it helps

Hi,
Thanks for the reply ASK and Mitali.

@Mitali yes i have gone through the link u have pasted. But it did not mention nething about the 1st question itself. So i had to question here in the forum.Anyways,Thanks for the link.
@ASK thanks for the help .

There are a couple of more questions i would like to know the answer to :
1) In doc. IMM0008_3e question (10) Assets,Liabilities and Settlement Funds, Do I have to furnish any documents relating to the said value for Assets,Liabilities and Settlement Funds.
2) In doc. IMM0008ENU_2D in dependents section question (2) Have you used any other name (e.g Nickame, maiden name ,alias, etc.)
For this does one have to mention the changed surname of his wife or just select NO in the options of YES or NO.
3) In doc. IMM0008DEPENU whose name has to be mentioned.I do not have any other dependents but my wife whom i have already mentioned in the doc.IMM0008ENU_2D
So do i have to mention her here again.
If at all ,my parents would be migrating to Canada but at some later point in time...and if it is still undecided would i still have to mention there names here now !?

Can you please help me with the above doubts.

1) In doc. IMM0008_3e question (10) Assets,Liabilities and Settlement Funds, Do I have to furnish any documents relating to the said value for Assets,Liabilities and Settlement Funds. Proof of Funds will have to be submitted along with the application which will be based on your asset and settlement fund declaration. A letter issued by your bank is ideal, stating that you have sufficient funds available as per their minimum fund requirement. Please check the link below for Proof of Fund minimum requirements:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

2) In doc. IMM0008ENU_2D in dependents section question (2) Have you used any other name (e.g Nickame, maiden name ,alias, etc.)
For this does one have to mention the changed surname of his wife or just select NO in the options of YES or NO. Yes,if your wife had a different family/given name earlier and it is mentioned in any of her documents(Passport/Certificates/National ID etc), it is always advisible to mention it. In case of change of name, the documents supporting the official change of name will have to be submitted.Otherwise, answer it No and proceed to next question
3) In doc. IMM0008DEPENU whose name has to be mentioned.I do not have any other dependents but my wife whom i have already mentioned in the doc.IMM0008ENU_2D
So do i have to mention her here again. IMM0008ENU_2D contains the entire data contained in the form IMM0008DEPENU. There is a provision to add additional dependent information within IMM0008ENU_2D if required. So, in your case, you practically need not fill the form IMM0008DEPENU. Validate this form and place the pages with Barcodes in the front. These are a few forms CIC has developed in the last few months(read Since July 2012) and it is possible that some informations are requested multiple times
If at all ,my parents would be migrating to Canada but at some later point in time...and if it is still undecided would i still have to mention there names here now !? For parents of immigrants, they have recently started some Super Visa program which you can use at a later stage. Need not worry about it right now. Information about your parents and siblings, as well as your spouse will have to be mentioned in IMM5406. Two separate forms should be used for you and your spouse

Hope it helps

You are most welcome. Glad to know it was helpful to you. I got help from members in this forum when I was new to this and when ever I had any doubt related to Canadian Immigration. It is now my turn to reciprocate the same to some one in need, using the best of my knowledge. Good luck with your application. Hope it gets through really fast and God willing, will meet you in Canada shortly.

Hi friends,
Back with a few questions.

1) In form IMM0008ENU_2D question 12) Previous country of residence - During the past five years have you lived in any country other than your country of citizenship or your current country of residence for more than six months.
Here do i have to mention the country, if i stayed at some place outside India for vacation or due to some office work which my company sent me for ,for more than six months ?

2) IMM5406E - Section C - Brothers and Sisters - Do I need to mention all my brothers and sisters here(I mean is it necessary ?)
3) As I am not using any representative - I should not be filling up IMM5476E correct ?
4) How much is the Fee for Application for Permanent Residence ? the form says $550.But i have read on the internet as $490 .... ?
5) Also, I just received my IELTS score ..its...
Reading : 6.5
Writing : 7.0
Speaking : 7.5
Listening : 8.0
Overall : 7.5

I hope that makes me eligible.

Please help.

Hello Vital_Parsley,

I was under the impression that you filled your forms almost a month ago!!! Or, did CIC by any chance asked you to resubmit your forms? Or are you about to file your application for the first time? Submitting your documents at the earliest is always in your best interest. However, I would make an attempt to answer your questions:

1) Previous countries of residence

Check the box to indicate whether you have lived in any country other than your country of citizenship or your current country of residence for more than six (6) months in the past five (5) years.

If you checked "Yes", from the list select the appropriate information to indicate the following:

- The name of the country you lived in
- Your immigration status for the time you were in that country:
-Citizen
-Permanent resident
-Visitor
-Worker
-Student
-Other
-Refugee Claimant
-Protected Person
-Foreign National
-Other: This section must be completed if you selected “Other” as a status
-The dates (From – To) you were living in that country.

Source: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp#eg74

2) Yes, you have to mention all your brothers and sisters (if any).
In SECTION C, Write personal details about your:

brother(s),
sister(s),
half-brother(s) and half-sister(s),
step-brother(s) and step-sister(s).

Important: You must list all family members in your application for permanent residence, whether they are accompanying you to Canada or not. You must also provide details on family members whose location is unknown (including those missing or presumed dead). If you don't, you will not be able to sponsor family members at a later date if they are not listed on your application.

Source: Same as previous answer

3) Yes, you need not submit IMM5476E unless you are using a representative. If you are using one, normally, they themselves fill it for you.

4) Application Fee for PR is CAD 550 which you must have paid initially at the time of application ( Each family member under age 22 who is unmarried and not in a common-law relationship must pay CAD 150 ).

If they have asked for Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF), then it is CAD 490 each for yourself and your spouse. No RPRF for kids. This fee request comes at a later stage of your immigration process, mostly - once they determine your eligibility and have decided to continue processing your application. RPRF fee is not refundable.

If your application does not meet their eligibility criteria, they will refund your 'Application Fee' deducting some charges (Sorry, I can't find the exact source or details of this information at this moment)

Source: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp#pay-fee

5) You must submit original language test results from a designated testing agency to the CIO with your application. Other evidence in writing will not be accepted as evidence of language proficiency. Use the table in the link below to see how many points you earn for your language proficiency. Maximum claim is 24 points. As per your test results, you have got 16 points for your IELTS. I have not considered your French language proficiency, if any. Eligibility based on language is fine, but it should be overall more than 67 points based on other factors too.

Source: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp#results

Taking a detailed look at the sources mentioned here should answer all your queries. If you still have doubts, we all are there to support you.

Hope it helps.
