Help: Renew passport during immigration process???

Renewed passport after received file number, should I unpdate new passport with Cic or wait until medical check? If update it now, will this affect the speed of processing?

You must inform CIC that you received new passport.
Just write the email to your visa office and let them know that your received a new passport during your application in process.
Do not forget to put your Application number, applicant name, UCI, DoB, country of birth and current address.
Must attached your new passport scan copy.

I did the same thing and they updated my new passport on file.

you can do exactly wat chintel told u, but this is it, any alteration, or any additional document u submit during ur cic processing will surelly reduce or slow down your processing time of your application

Not necessarily.
I mean, adding a new dependent, would definitely slow down the processing time.
But a renewed passport would bear no additional processing time.
