hey friends em new to this forum,,
I have applied for MENg in 2 universities for the Fall 2012 Session, Uni of Regina and UOIT
I got Rejection from UOIT
And and its been 2 months ,Havent got any response from there.. What are my chances?????

I need help from professional guys .plz help me out

My Profile is 2.67 CGPA in Engineering
HSC 58 %
SSC 82%
IELTS 6.5

Hi,

1.You should 've submitted a GRE score. (http://www.uregina.ca/gradstudies/main/admissions.shtml)
This would strengthen your application and further increase your chances of acceptance.

2.Your Engineering CGPA ( even though is more than minimum required 1st class, assuming 2.67/4.00, which I hope is average of all 4 years or atleast average of final 2 years) but is a less than 70%. It would be better if it was 70% and above.. If this 2.67 CGPA is just the final year marks..then you may 've a problem here, meeting the eligibility requirements.

3.And, I hope your IELTS score has min. 6.0 in all bands. Again, if it's less.. it will create problem as you 've applied for a Master's degree course..

So, can't really say....

and can u tell what is your GPA in last two years of Engineering?

Do i need to tell you the Semester GPA after the completion of 3rd and 4rth yr or Cumulative GPA.????

If your overall CGPA below than 2.8 than university check last two years performance (3rd and 4th year)
Our 2.8 GPA is equal to 70%
and 3.0 GPA is equal to 75%

you seem to eligible for University of Regina and Dalhousie. And both have Master in Engineering Programs. You should apply for these university because these are affordable and reputable. (Both... IELTS Requirement 6.5)

For dalhousie university no need IELTS even you h'v spend 1 acadmic year in an post secondary institution where language of instruciton medium is english. http://www.dal.ca/admissions/international_students/english_languageproficiency.html

any way dn't miss IELTS its depend your "level of establishment"

Bro, My Institute issued me a certificate which clearly shows I possess 70% Overall,
But, As i received rejection from UOIT, it gave me sense of worry that I might lack some area, which area I really dont know, Might be GRE:O
DO UOIT have strict selection criteria than UoR or Dalhousie??
I need to know do i still have time to apply for Dalhousie?
Any who have applied to UOIT ,UOR and get acceptance ?

Last Question not the least
Usually how much time does UoR take to deliver decision Cuz its almost 2 and half month I havent heard from them
