Hi everyone,

I would like the support and advice regarding the visitor visa application for my parents, brother and my niece to come over from India.
Brief overview of the situation -
- I am a PR in Canada living with my wife since 1 yr now. I am working in a full-time job.
- Both parents are retired back home and my brother is an IT professional working in a company and my niece is 8yrs old and studying in school.
- All of them have traveled inside India a lot of times but haven't traveled anywhere outside India.
- Both my parents are getting 50k monthly pension and have over 15 lakhs in their separate bank accounts in India in FD which can be liquefied anytime. My brother also have around 5-6 lakhs in his bank account.
- My parents also have 3-4 assets on their name.
- They all want to come to visit me only for 3-4 weeks in summer. I already went back home last year in 2017 to meet them, so this time they're planning.

So, I just needed some feedback and advise on the following :-
1) Travel History - what is to be done regarding the travel history, as they have no travel history outside India?

2) Family ties in India - The supporting docs I am planning on showing would be:-
- Job confirmation letter from my brother's company
- School enrollment confirmation letter from my niece's school.
- Property papers of my parents
- Last 2 yrs Tax return papers for parents and brother.

3) Financials - For finances:-
- 6 months bank statements for mom, dad and brother's bank accounts.
- Certified copies of their fixed deposits in bank
- Property papers of my parents with the estimated value

4) Invite's Docs
- I'm providing following docs for myself as the host:-
- Invitation letter
- Employment confirmation letter
- Bank Statement 6 months

I am just wondering according to the situation, the above mentioned docs will be enough or do I have to include some other docs as well? Are there good chances for getting the visitor visa for them?

Thank you in advance for your valuable feedback.

Your parents have strong ties to return to. I will advise on their ties later.

For your brother:
1. Is he married?

2. Does he own any property/land? Or have a lease agreement in his name?

3. How long has he been working at his current employer?
Thanks for your reply Bryanna,

1. My brother is married. My sister-in-law doesn't have her passport made yet, that's why she is not going to apply for visa now.
2. He doesn't own a property but he invested some money as part-investor in a property. He doesn't have any lease agreement on his name as he is residing with my parents.
3. He has been working with the current employer for 5-6 yrs now.

In any case, I would recommend that your sister-in-law does not apply for a TRV presently because it would put the applications of other applicants at risk for 'Family ties are stronger to Canada'.

2. He doesn't own a property but he invested some money as part-investor in a property. He doesn't have any lease agreement on his name as he is residing with my parents.
Does he have any legal documents to prove his ownership in the property? Bank statements to prove he has made payments for that property?

3. He has been working with the current employer for 5-6 yrs now.
He would need to prove that his work commitments do not allow him to remain away from work for more than 2-3 weeks max. + he has work commitments which are scheduled after his return (with evidence)

I would also recommend that your parents apply.... first..... separately. Your brother and niece should apply only after your parents are approved

1. I got your first point that my sis-in-law can be shown as a family tie for rest of my family to return.

2. He probably has the proof of payments for that investment. is there anything else that I can show besides this for my brother as a strong tie?

3. So work commitment can be shown as a letter from the company stating that they need him there in 2-3 weeks?

4. If am able to get my brother docs then should it be fine for all of them to apply for visa at one time?

Thank you Bryanna

As recommended earlier, it is best if your brother (and niece) apply only after your parents are granted TRVs.

At that point in time too, I would advise that only your brother should apply for a TRV. Both your brother and your niece do not have strong ties to return to + no travel history + his financial situation is not strong
