I am Canadian sponsoring my husband (he's French), using an outland application (we live in Paris). I just received my sponsorship approval letter and it says that the next step is to submit the documents for the Schedule A Criminal Background Check.

My question: Do I (Canadian Sponsor/wife) have to fill out these forms too or just my husband (AKA the Frenchman/Primary Applicant)???

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Just the principal applicant and any dependants. The sponsor does not need to fill in Schedule A or a police clearance.

AMAZING!!! :) Thank you for your help!!

One last question if you don't mind.... I'm trying to validate the Criminal Background Form (eIMM55669E) and it keeps giving me this error message:

Review the Personal History section, it seems like some information is missing.

· Enter the most recent information first.

· Don’t leave any gaps in time.

I've double, triple, quadruple checked it and there are zero gaps in time. Any advice on what to do next?

Thanks again!

Check if you are using the latest version, at the bottom left of the page. I think the latest is a Jan 2017 version.

Indeed, it is dated 01-2017. Any other tips? Thanks!!
Oh ok, are u beginning with the most recent information first? Check the dates again. To and from and ongoing if applicable. In a worse case if nothing works fill in a fresh form by downloading it from the CIC website and send it off. Sometimes it gives you these errors when u have filled it in in advance and then reopen and try to validate at a later date.

I believe that some people had this issue when they put "Ongoing" for the most recent entry. Try putting today's date instead.

Yeah some of the instructions given in the guide actually don't work in the electronic forms...make you wonder...

THANKS EVERYONE!!!! Finally got it to work --- unfortunately, I have no insight into how I did it however. These forms are picky!! I just fiddled around with it until it finally validated! Good luck everyone!!!
