HELP - question regarding IELTS!

I am in the process of completing my documents for visa application to CIC. I just received my letter of approval from MPNP 4 days ago. I did my IELTS exam 2 years (2012) and that is the one I used for my MPNP application. Is there any validity for the IELTSwith CIC - should I take an IELTS exam again for my visa application to CIC?

IELTS results are valid for 2 years.

No Sir i am not in Canada. Thank you for your reply to my inquiry - i guess i need to renew my ielts even if it is not a FSW application. I thought the regulaton would be different with Provincial Nominee application. Thanks again!

Hi,

Are you sure you do need to submit English test results for the federal part of your PR application? Unless your occupation is semi skilled and comes under NOC C or D you don't need to submit IELTS.

On another note are you applying under the family stream?

Yes I am under family stream and a nurse by profession that requires me an ielts exam. Do you think i need to renew it? And oh...how about dependents, do they need to have ielts result as well?

I don't think you need IELTS validity to apply to CIC since you already submitted through PNP, but you will need it to apply for any regulated profession. regarding your dependents, no need for IELTS unless they too will need it for job placement or schooling. you might want to check what are the requirements for schooling and job placements. some does not require IELTS.
