Hi PMM,

re: Adapatability points... Do you know if the 10 points for 1-year full-time, continuous skilled work experience IN CANADA can be in the form of 2 years part-time, continuous, FTE (Equivalent to the hours of working 1-year fulltime).???

I couldn't find anything that specifically says this is the case, but for the 9-15 points available in the SKILLED WORK EXPERIENCE category, it does say that the 1 year minimum full-time work can be "...or full-time equivalent in part time."

Do you know for sure if this is the same for the CANADIAN ADAPTABILITY points (10points), because I have 2 years continuous part-time skilled work experience IN CANADA!! So will that count as 1-year fulltime.?

Does that mean that my 2 years part time work in Canada = 19 points towards my 67 ? (ie. 10 points for CANADIAN ADAPTABILITY and 9 points for 1 year Skilled work experience)? Can I get both sets of points for the one 2-YEAR part-time job? ( NOC level A)

Can nobody definitively clarify this?
at least one year (1560 hours), full-time or an equal amount in part-time,
paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships, etc. do not count),
in the same occupation, and
within the last 10 years,
at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 edition of the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC)
You must show that you did the duties set out in the lead statement of the occupational description in the NOC, including all the essential duties and most of the main duties listed. If you do not show that your experience meets the description in the NOC, we will refuse your application.

Yes, that is what it says to get the 9-15 points you can get for WORK EXPERIENCE section.

But in CANADIAN ADAPTABILITY section , you can get up to 10 points for 1 year skilled,full-time work in Canada (on authorized work permit).
So my question is..... Can this 1-year fulltime for Canadian Adaptability category ALSO be in the part-time equivalent (FTE), just like the Work Experience category points ???

If so, then that would mean that 2 years part-time skilled work in Canada (FTE hours) could be worth 19 points, right?

ie. 9 points for 1 year (FTE) of skilled work experience AND another 10 points for Canadian Adaptability - having 1 year (FTE) of skilled work IN CANADA.

SO THAT 1 YEAR (OR 2 YEARS PART TIME ) IN CANADA COULD be worth 19 points of the whole 67 in the application, right?
