There was a question about the status of my wife ( married or single) , we picked the answer and below that question they asked about the date i thought it didnt belong to me so i didnt enter the date of marriage cuz i thought it s about common law relationship

but i mentioned the date of our marriage in our story plus the wedding card which i attached
i dont think they gonna send it back cuz the already will see the details , anyone help plz

for how long have you sent your application in? is it still in first stage approval in missisauga or file has been transferd to your country? if it is still in missisauga then i would suggest you to revise it with your wedding date on it...

For my understanding if you are married then you have to apply as a spousal sponsorship not common-law. Also if you initially file a common law application then you need to update immigration that you got married. This is also true if any children are born, divorce, marriage ect. The visa office and missassagua need to know.

If they send it back from Mississauga, just correct it and resend. If it has already gone to the foreign visa office, I would send in a corrected version of that form with an explanation, just to be safe. Make sure your file number is on it. Most likely if it has already gone to the visa office that means the officers at Mississauga noticed and figured out from the rest of the application when the wedding date was, so no worries.
