Hello all,

We have applied for Outland Spousal PR New Delhi office. It has been 5 months since our file is forwarded to New Delhi. We made an MP enquiry last week, and we gotta know that it is awaiting for the final decision from the visa officer. They cannot estimate how much more time it l take, and it is upto the discretion of the visa officer. Can anyone pls tell me how long it l take for the officer generally? It has been more than a week since we got that MP reply, and nothing has happened so far. We are really worried.. Thanks in advance for the replies.

Hey Sanyrog,

Like I mentioned in the other thread, my understanding is they cant deny without the interview. Given it's been 5 months, and no interview, it's likely it should be soon. Although Delhi has up to 6 months technically to approve.

Maybe a senior member can comment in general.

Thanks Nylalisa..Waiting for others too to comment.

not to worry. its normal and don't ount one week more and less ..there r ppl waiting for long times. yes, there r officer who has different capacity and speed on working cases .2nd, more time can be taken in background chekcs "if family then for husband and wife". try send inquiry to mp when its enough late ,it seems normal yet and jus wait some time ..u will be fine ,inshalah .gud luck in advance and dont forget to pray for others.thanks

Even if we consider the MP reply true. VO might have issued visa by the end of last week. PPT will be posted to you in 3-4 days and then India post will also take 7-15 days to deliver the PPT to you. It is the timelines from earlier passport deliveries.

In my understanding all is well and your PPT is on its way to you....have pateince. I understand what you are going through but we all are helpless...our lifes are not in our hands.....we can only wait and hope well

exactly.. But I was thinking, that my ecas atleast would change to Complete, if at all he stamped my visa.. Unfortunately, its not that case. hence I assume that he hasnt stamped mine till now.

Thanks, saifsmarty. Sure il pray for others too :)

Dont relay on ecas buddy. In some cases it never updates even files are closed successfully. In some cases visa is issued but ecas still says "applicatio n received" OR "In process"

Cheers :)
