If you are in Canada, you can send your application to Ottawa.

She should apply for re-entry Visa while she's here in Canada before flying back to the Philippines so she would not take that much risk. As soon as she'll b granted with TRV, Valid Work Permit & a Letter from her Employer allowing her to have a vacation and will continue working with them upon her return then she won't have any problems entering again Canada.

She can still apply for TRV now 'coz it usually takes a month before they return the passport.
Hi SydneyWhite, What risk are we going to face should we leave Canada and apply in Manila ? I submitted my passport for my re-entry visa last October 3, 2012 and still waiting up to now. Yesterday, I made a follow up call in Ottawa and they said it will still take 3 more weeks before i can get it and the dilemma here is I have my flight on 7th December ... if I am going to wait 3 more weeks I lose money for my flight. Would there be risk if you have the following requirements, just a thought ?! Below are the requirements needed in the Canadian Embassy in Manila.
Valid work permit
Valid letter from employer
3 forms from canadian website
o Application for temporary visa
o Family information
o Supplementary information
- Passport
- 2pcs passport size picture (name & bday back of 1 pic)
- Managers cheque ( worth of 3050php payable to Canadian Embassy)
o Single entry ( worth of 3050php payable to Canadian Embassy)
o Multiple entry ( worth of 6100php payable to Canadian Embassy)
- 350php fee for the courier fee

I have a friend who sent TRV application on Oct 15 and passport with the TRV was received on Nov 6. Did you track your application? When was it received by CPP-Ottawa?

Good that you've got your OEC already. I've tried calling in Philippine consul here in edmonton but they don't issue OEC, was thinking to save a little. :D oh well! When is your departure? Mine is December 8, excited but nervous at the same time. Hate airport hassle. I also got a letter of employment with my 2 employers, I am working part time with 2 employers and I have asked them to state in the letter that ill be having my vacation and will come back here and still work with them. And they put their contact #'s. If you still doubt with your letter of employer, you can ask for another one if its fine with them. Just to ease your mind. Goodluck to us!

Better safe than sorry, because this time we are not sure if they will grant you re-entry Visa in Manila, what if not? But if u will get it while u r still here, u would have the peace of mind that u will not have problems re-entering Canada.
Don't worry, just keep on praying, it wl come in His time!!! :)

If you have a valid WP/TRV and an employer (letter from them allowing you go on vacation needed), then you're ready to go!
