No Negative impact technically but it may attract interview and then the visa officer might ask you questions about your illegal stay and then it will all depend upon your answersnat31 said:HI,MY HUSBAND AND I SPENT MANY YEARS ILLEGALLY IN USA,WE ARE HOME NOW,WILLING TO APPLAY FOR QUEBEC. So giving the fact that your stay in the us was illegal I dont think you had any chances to work legally hence the fact that the experience from USA wont count. However, if you have at least 6 months of experience in the country where you stayed and worked legally you are eligible to file for QSW. If you have any questions regarding any matter regarding immigrration to Quebec, please contact me, I have followed the info for more than 6 months now so I am familiar with virtually every detail of it. Also, basic French skills are mandatory (theoritically not but practically yes)nat31 said:HI,MY HUSBAND AND I SPENT MANY YEARS ILLEGALLY IN USA,WE ARE HOME NOW,WILLING TO APPLAY FOR QUEBEC. I am in the same situation, I processed my papers while in US as FSW1 and I am now a permanent resident of Canada, started processing last January 2009, got our visas December 5 2009 and landed in Toronto last March 2, 2010. So I can vouch that if you are illegal in US you can still apply to Canada to become a resident. I dont know how it goes in Quebec, but as long as you meet the minimum requirements you will be fine.
