My wife left England when she was 22 and has lived in the states the last 28 years in the united states . will she needs a police certificate from England as well from the US?
Refer....Checklist.......
You (the principal applicant), and any family members 18 or older (who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents), must submit police
certificates from the following country or countries at this time, unless indicated otherwise on the police certificate webpage:
- The country where you (or they) currently live, if you have lived there for six months or more; and
- The country where you (or they) have spent most of your (their) life since the age of 18.
Certainly your wife will need Police Certificate from USA because she has lived in USA for six months or more AND has spent the most of her life since the age of 18 in USA.
She really shouldn't need Police Certificate from UK...........but will advice you get Police Certificate from UK...........since she lived there between age 18 and 22 (4 years)........IRCC may not need it or could ask for it..........but i rather provide and don't have to for whatever reason deal with any possible delay later because of a missing document........just an advice.
