Hello!

We attend to visit Canada this November. We live in Greece, my husband has Canadian citizenship, but he took it 1 year after our son was borned. Our child can take the canadian citizenship? Our tickets have return date in 3 months and we travel with greek passports. If my husband, find a job there (he got canadian identity) can we stay (me and our child) there, and do all the immigrate progress there, without having the obligation to come back again?

Does anyone knows what i have to do exactly?

Thanks you very muc!

Your son is not a Canadian citizen as your husband was not a Canadian citizen at the time of birth. However as a Canadian citizen now, your husband can sponsor your son and you for PR. Check cic website for the latest forms and procedure.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
You and your son enter on your passports as visitors. You are allowed to stay in Canada for up to 6 months. If your husband finds a job and you decide to stay, he can apply to sponsor you both for PR and you can apply to extend your visitor status so you do not have to leave.
