what exaclly is a CSE?
the letter says that if i dont make it up in time, than im pretty much *censored word*ed, and have to start all over.
please tell me there is a way so i dont.

A CSE is a Case Specific Enquiry. For Ottawa, it's this email ottpilot-immigration @ cic.gc.ca. Include names, file number, DOB.


Send the CSE and call your MP for help as well.

If you can attempt to go to the border, do so. They might be able to help out a little better. But also do all the other things suggested as well. If I could remember where my husband put his dang COPR I would look at it to see how the date is on his.

Date was April 10, same day his medicals expired. They don't issue COPRs beyond the medicals expiration.

Contacting CSE or MP might help but you may not hear from them for a while. I'd suggest you plan a day trip to complete the landing procedure. It won't take long and you can come back to US to finish your business as long as you need.

Consider going to the border, land, get your PR, and then go back to Illinois to actually get ready to move to Canada.

his COPR expired on the 10th of April.

I have to ask, why didn't you just book a ticket ASAP/ and fly in to get your PR and then back out to get your stuff? You could have also driven to your nearest border crossing to do it there.

I read the OP again. When she received the CoPR, it was already after the valid date. CoPR was valid until 04/10 and she received it on 04/15. I hope CIC will give her positive consideration.

I'm just curious if the OP has gotten the situation sorted out - were you able to land or did they reissue your COPR?
