Hello, I am a Romanian citizen with a Romanian Passport valid until july 8 2014, I am in Canada, Montreal and i got married to a Canadian citizen. We will start our sponsor documents shortly but the main issue is that I applied at the Romanian embassy for a new passport and now I have to apply for an extension visa. How do I proceed, do I apply now with my current passport witch will expire in 2014 or do I wait for the new one? I heard that the extended visa is actually a piece of paper witch you simply carry with you...
I was also planning on visiting some relatives in the US in the holidays and come back on the 5-6 january...should it be ok I have multiple entry visa on my current passport. Also if I get my new passport before I leave the embassy told me that the current passport with my Canadian visa will be canceled! Will my visa still be available for me to travel? Do I carry both passport and show the one canceled but with the Canadian visa!? Thank you!
