Hi

I am in New Delhi and got my PR in Jan'16.
I got married in Apr'16. My wife doesnt have a PR and we only want to go together.
So, i cannot go to canada first then sponsor her from there.

Now, we are thinking to apply her individual PR under Express entry as she is a Chartered Accountant.
Our marriage is not registered yet. Someone told us that you file her PR showing that she is single.

please advice what to do? Dont feel like lying to embassy and in case of any issue, will create further issue forever.

What all you experienced people suggest?
How can we move in together? in earliest possible time.

She needs to apply as married under express entry. If she applies as single, that's misrepresentation and could land her a five year ban from Canada.

Thanks a lot Scylla..
How much time will it take under express entry under current scenerio?

And any one else can throw some light on this?

You need to be posting Express Entry question to the Express Entry section of the forum. However to answer your question - it will take some time (a few months) for your wife to prepare and take IELTS and get ECA. Then it will take some period of time (impossible to say how long) to be selected based on how many points she has. If she has a lot of points - she will be selected quickly. If not, she may never be selected. If she is selected and submits her application, processing will take somewhere between 6-12 months.

Note that if you're currently residing in India and continue to live there, then you'll be in violation of your Residency Obligation and subject to having your PR status revoked, sometime around January 2019.

Since you must be residing in Canada to sponsor her, she can just apply for a TRV to visit Canada, and you can then apply INLAND once she arrives here. She will get an Open Work Permit while her PR app is in progress.

Only if she's rejected for TRV, would she then need to go through Express Entry process if you refuse to move back to Canada without her.
