Hello to everyone on this thread, I'm currently on work permit and I applied for PR back in November 2020 and i got a similar letter yesterday from IRCC, but I'm currently outside of Canada(in India my country of citizenship) due to some personal reasons and waiting for flights to resume , what location should i provide? i believe i will be back to Canada after some weeks. Will really appreciate a response thanks.

I got the same letter today. My wife travelled to india and I wasn’t sure what to submit as yes or no to confirm our current residence. She will be travelling back to Canada soon (in less than a month).
can you please suggest me what you have done in this situation and how it works if we submit as Yes or No ?

can you please confirm if you had recently travelled outside of Canada before you get this letter to confirm your current residence.
Would like to confirm this letter will be sent only to those people who have travelled outside of Canada during their PR processing time.
Or if you know of any reason why someone can get this letter, please advise.
Sincerely looking forward to your response as I have been in critical situation waiting for PR since more than 1 year now.

Also going through the posts in the thread above i see lot of folks getting the same request letter so I'm not sure if it's only to people who have travelled outside. We are almost through it, once she is back you can inform IRCC.

Hi Willis, once i came back to Canada last month i submitted a similar letter via web form stating I'm back to Canada and then called IRCC few weeks later and they confirmed they received it and it is under review. I haven't heard back since then it's been almost 50 days since i uploaded that letter. Hope it helps
