Help please: Question with regards to visiting and while in Canada I'm contacted for an interview.

What if the request for an interview comes up but my spouse is already in Canada visiting on a visitor visa?

Does that mean he could do his interview within Canada, or would he need to travel back across the planet for an interview?

Used to be spouse had to go back for interview, not sure if they give the inland option now...

Very few in-person interviews anyway right now so hard to say. Hopefully if they do ask for an interview they'd settle for phone or videoconference - at least until covid not an issue.
