I am applying from Pakistan for student visa for MSc (Fall 2013).

I have below queries:

1. Do we need to pay first year's tuition fee before applying for visa even if the university does not need us to? I heard that it is mandatory for the visa process to pay first year's fee in full.

2. Can we get the medical done before applying for visa?

3. Which application type is better, online or paper based?

Can anyone please help on these queries.

Thanks in advance.

- if you submit fees before , it is good and visa chance are bright !
- CIC will suggest you to go through from medical process!
- Paper base application is good, if you are in Pakistan!

remember me in your prays!

1: how could it be better when CIC it self has written that it is advisable to not pay any fees or not make any travel plans before you have been granted a visa. it could however be a good thing to pay the fees if you are applying in a college, as this makes sense that the vo will see whether you can make the payment when asked or not. but my suggestion for you is to show them enough money in your or your parents name to make your case strong.
2: no! medical should be done on request of the embassy
3: paper based is good. but make sure to type and validate the forms.
best of luck and duaon main yaad rakhna :)

I showed them $60,000 n still got rejected. The reason they gave me was that "i won't be able to pay the fees without working in Canada". n i didn't pay the first year tuition fee.

@over9000

Who was your sponsor? And what course you applied?

These two questions are responsible for such rejection in my opinion.

I applied in March n My parents were sponsoring me. I got admission in bachelors of management.
Well, i showed property with huge value n stuff... so for people who think this is how one can show their home ties, ur wrong.

brother sorry for your rejection, but bachelors is a 4 years program and the reason given by vo was quiet obvious. it is basically the liquid fund, family condition etc that they see. however, don't worry, have faith and try to make a better choice. and plz share your profile only then we can comment where the mistake happened. and yes a masters program is good to apply for.............. and not only property but job is a goood home tie, like some company giving you a letter that your prospects will be higher in our firm when you return back etc.

Thank you all for your responses and my wishes for all of you for admission and visa.
