Help Please: How did any PSU employee from India obtained a PCC?

Thought to start a thread for Indians working in PSUs

My wife works for a PSU bank - and if she declares the same while applying for PCC, authorities ask for a certificate from the employers - which is extremely difficult to obtain and would essentially mean she would need to resign and apply for PCC.

The other option is to declare her a homemaker in which case she gets a PCC very easily.

In my case I am the PA but this could be different for others.

Any thoughts?

Some more info:

While applying for Passport (spouse needs to renew) - you need something like a NOC from the organization. However it seems you do not need one when you apply for a PCC? I just tried to fill a dummy application and at the end of it - i was not asked for any NOC for PCC.
