Help! Planning to study in canada

im planning to study in canada. how much money do i need for two years.
im planning to take welding course for two years or culinary Management.
im a computer science undergrad here in the philippines.
and how can i get a Post Graduate Work Permit. after that i want to be a permanent resident in canada.

Any Suggestion and Advice will be very much appreciated.

You will probably have difficulty obtaining an approved study visa if you select either welding or culinary management since they have nothing to do with your previous studies. "Course mismatch" is one of the main reasons applications are refused.

To be approved for a study visa, you will need to show a bank balance equal to first year tuition + 10K living expenses + travel expenses.

To study in Canada, you need to select an appropriate course in any of the recognized college or university, and then apply for a study permit.
Getting Canadian study permit is perhaps one of the toughest to get in the world and even if you 've million dollars...won't guarantee you a study permit. As far as applicants from Indian subcontinent/Asia are concerned...the CHC has several unwritten rules such as the course applied should be higher or atleast similar level of your present credential (i.e if you are a Bachelor's level degree holder, applying for lower level plain certificate/diploma programmes 'll surely result in visa rejection) and the course applied to should be in the direct area of your previous study/background or atleast in a related field. For example if you are Business degree holder, have 2 years work ex in sales field and you opt for a PG course in Hotel management ..then also your visa 'll be most probably rejected. All these to avoid Course/study mismatch... Now you get the point right...? One of the most probable reason for such stringent rules is to limit the number of students entering Canada and only accept genuine students..

Before you apply for Canadian study permits, you need to find an appropriate course in a recognized Canadian college or University. You will need to choose a course in a Canadian college or university..in a province of your choice... matching to your previous level and area of training/ education/ work experience. You will need to visit the individual college or university websites, do research for yourself..and choose an appropriate course. Here's the list of recognized publicly funded colleges and Universities (listed province wise):

You MUST select an appropriate College/University and a course/higher or atleast similar to your current qualifications and area of study.
To get admissions to Universities, you usually need 70-75% minimum marks in UG, good academic record, IELTS score and perhaps GRE score and/or work ex in relevant area. The admission process to Canadian recognized public universities is very high.
If you don't have such high academic record, next best thing is to apply for a PG level course (also known as Graduate certificates/diplomas) of 1 or 2 years in a Canadian college related to your previous study.
Hence, either you can look forward to study M.S in CS/IT in Canadian Universities OR study some IT related PG level 1-2 years in any of the recognized Canadian college. You may also look forward to do a 3 years Advanced Diploma with Co-op, but it's not reccomended as it's lower than a Bachelor's degree.

You MUST choose a college course in the field of IT/CS related PG level course(Graduate certificates/diplomas) in any of the recognized Canadian colleges like:

About post graduate work permits: As per the current rules, if you study any recognized course from a recognized University or college of 2 years/SEM/16 months you will get a PGWP of 3 years...and if the duration of your course studied in Canada is less than 2 years, the the length of PGWP will be equal to the duration f your course.For example 1 year PGWP for a 1 year course.

You need minimum Tuition fees+10,000$(living expenses)+travel expenses -1st year, and thereafter Tuition fees+10,000$(living expenses) for 2nd year onwards.

Welding Studies and Culinary are my choices because i have red that Cooks,Chefs and Welders are on the Priority Occupation list in Canada what about the Canadian experience Class since there is a big chance that my application for student visa will be refused if im gonna enroll for Welding and Culinay studies because they are not related to Computer science. What if, if i will study Diploma/Certificate PG level course in Computer Science or IT for 2 years in canada? after graduating i will work in the IT field for a couple of years using my Post graduate work Visa to have work experience.is there a chance that i will get Permanent Residency Visa? will i be eligible for the Canadian Experience Class? to become a Permanent resident.

Don't worry about the priority occupation list. Those are for Federal skilled workers. As a students, passing out form a recognized Canadian educational institute... you need to apply either under CEC(work 1 year in ANY full time permanent Skilled NOC O,A, or B level job) or apply under Ontario PNP (where you need to have a full time skilled job offer approved by the govt and that process is employer driven).
