Help! Passport sent to LA consulate Visa Office and never heard from it again

I got original passport request last Thursday, and the passport was delivered last Friday. I didn't know that I should send my passport to VAC. I sent it to the visa office, and I am waiting for it to return. It has been 8 days, and track no. hasn't been activated. What should I do? I planned a trip on May 17th.

The passport request specifies the exact address you should send your passport to. Most probably if the passport reached a place where they can't accept it they will return it via the cheapest method possible (if not a return to sender order was placed). It has only been 5 days really, CIC works on business days. Anyway you can only wait and keep an eye on the mail. Little else you can do. Maybe calling your Postal Service to see if they can help you with it.
