Your aunt's details will show up as a close relative on your mom's 'Family Information' form.... hence, do ensure that your parents show very strong ties to India (including that there are more non-accompanying family members in India)

Did you prepare a realistic estimate of expenses? Can you please explain how the 'expenses on paper are very high'?
Yes, we are including airfare to YVR and back home which is generally the high expense.
I have googled VIA rail but that is the same cost as the flight.

They will cover any and all costs while we are there - but will the govn't believe this? They are providing an invitation letter in which they will state that they will be covering this.

First things first, is your aunt the Host for your parents' TRVs? Will your aunt provide all documents required as their host for the TRV?

I'm trying to understand your situation:
You mentioned in a previous post that you/your parents will drive down to Vancouver.... but you're now saying that you/your parents will fly to Vancouver.... either which way, can your dad prove that he has the finances for the fare/expenses for the Vancouver trip?

Sorry, I am confusing myself also as our plans for Vancouver were not finalized...we were just hoping to visit them as well.
My aunt has offered to host my parents but no official documents have been requested.

Well, my aunt will be visiting for my graduation in Saskatoon. We were thinking of drinking back to Vancouver with them and then flying one say back to Saskatoon - so I can come home and my parents can fly back.
I think the best bet is to request documents from her.

Looks like I answered my own question.
Thanks Bryanna

No problem :)

Do make a good case this time by proving strong ties to India + good reasons to return.... so your parents can attend your convocation/meet your aunt and her family

All the best

My parents trv rejected tomorrow. I am studying in Canada and the reason for their visit is to attend my convocation(graduation ceremony). They have also attached my invitation letter from college.
They give the reason that there is a risk that you will not return to your home country, travel history, purpose of stay, personal and financial assets.
My dad attached all his salary slips, movable and immovable assets. He is working in Indian Railways from last 25 years and he is on good post. My elder brother is studying in India and he is dependent on them.
We are thinking to reapply by the end of this week because the convocation ceremony is in May. Please help what to do or what additional documents are reqired.
Same in my case as well.

Graduating this May.
Parents filed the online application on March 30, Got refused yesterday. Thinking of reapplying. When did your parents apply and from which visa office?
