Hi,

You can include these documents:
1. Copies of your passport

2. Your birth certificate as proof of relationship with your mom

For your mom:
1. I assume the property is owned solely by your mom. So, property valuation (self-assessment/ CA/ property assessor) + Excerpts from realty reports/websites to prove that the valuation matches the indicative current market rates + latest property tax receipts

2. Two years' Income Tax Returns

3. Your dad's passport copy is not required unless it has your mom's name on it as spouse (no need for a marriage certificate).

Others:
1. Does your mom have any financial investments (FDs, RDs, shares, mutual funds)?

2. Finances are very low both in your mom's bank account + your bank account

3. PAN Card and Aadhar Card are not required

Cheers

Hi Bryanna

Please advice.

1. Copies of your passport- Will be Included

2. Your birth certificate as proof of relationship with your mom- Will be Included

For your mom:
1. I assume the property is owned solely by your mom. So, property valuation (self-assessment/ CA/ property assessor) + Excerpts from realty reports/websites to prove that the valuation matches the indicative current market rates + latest property tax receipts - Property is owned by my dad, and it's been evaluated. is there any concern if its in my dads name and not moms?

2. Two years' Income Tax Returns - My mom is a housewife. She has not filed income tax in recent years

3. Your dad's passport copy is not required unless it has your mom's name on it as spouse (no need for a marriage certificate).

Others:
1. Does your mom have any financial investments (FDs, RDs, shares, mutual funds)?- Unfortunately no

2. Finances are very low both in your mom's bank account + your bank account - What is the minimum we need to show? Can my mom show liquid assets (gold) too will that do any good?

3. PAN Card and Aadhar Card are not required

Property owned by your dad cannot be included in your mom's application. It also is not a tie/reason for her to return to India.

2. Two years' Income Tax Returns - My mom is a housewife. She has not filed income tax in recent years
She can file 'Nil Returns' if her income is below the taxable limits. Basically, the ITRs would confirm that she 'earns' some income which matches her bank statements.

2. Finances are very low both in your mom's bank account + your bank account - What is the minimum we need to show? Can my mom show liquid assets (gold) too will that do any good?
Your mom must be able to prove that she can afford the visit without being dependent on you. Typically this is CAD 1,000 per week of visit + airfare (but not borrowed from anyone).

Does your dad have adequate finances? If yes, he can provide a Letter of Financial Support for your mom + his bank statements + his ITRs.

Your mom can get the gold valued by a certified gold jeweler and include that too. But, this is not liquid finances which can help to pay for her visit.

IMO, except for your dad as a family tie to return to, your mom does not have a strong application. Also, as the host, your own finances are not good especially if you've mentioned that you will take care of your mom's accommodation/travel and living expenses.

Does your dad have a valid TRV?
Does your mom live with any other family member? For example, your grand parents or unmarried siblings?
Can your mom include any other reason to prove she must return by a certain date (with evidence)?
