Hi all,

Firstly, the help and support on this forum is amazing. I wouldn't be in such a good position without you all, so thank you!

Ok, so I'm currently filling out my IMM0008 form. My application will be an Outland application (I'm a citizen of England, vising Canada for 6 months as a visitor).

Now, onto the application.

Personal Details - Question 10 - Current Country Of Residence: I am not sure if I should put England or Canada here. The Sponsors Guide states:

"The name of your current country of residence. Your country of residence is the country in which you are residing, provided that you have been lawfully admitted to that country."

So, I am currently visiting Canada, and will send an Outland application off. This being said, for Question 10, what do you think I should put? England or Canada?

Thanks,

Ste

If you are sending and Outland Application your country of residency should be England.

Do you still have an address in England?
In any case, you could put either your Canadian address or your English address for an outland application. Many people on this forum have used their Canadian partner's address as their residence while they were here as visitors. You are living with your partner, as a visitor to Canada.
I would put 'Canada' as the country of residence, but either would be fine. If you are planning to go back to England to wait out the processing time, then 'England' would make more sense. If you are hoping to stay in Canada for most or all of the processing time, then 'Canada' would make more sense.
