Hi there,
I went to canada as student from Pakistan in 2006 and filed my refugee case in 2009 and got rejected and was deported in Jan 2011.
Now i am in pakistan and i recently got married to a canadian born citizen.
She came here to visit me and we got married.
Now we are planning to file our sponsorship application next month sometimes.
My question is since i am here in pakistan and she is going back to canada and filing the application.

how long would it take to process the application and we are willing to settle in toronto city as my n her friends n her family lives in toronto.

other question is when i was deported, The canadian Govt paid for my ticket. Being failed refugee would it be a problem or its ok for my sponsorship application.

Thank you

Shawn

1. Be prepared for a long and expensive journey.
2. The marriage will be looked at very closely as the refugee claim showed that you intended to remain in Canada and marriage maybe your last chance.
3. You will need an approved Application to Return to Canada, $400, repay Removal expenses $1500 plus the cost of the application.
