My boyfriend of 3years was the principal applicant, and i am his common law. We both live in my bf's parent's house. My bf already have received his ITA. Our problem is, aside from joint bank accounts, what are other ways we can prove our relationship that is really 3years old and counting? The household bills are not applicable as those were under my bf's father's name. I have insurance policy but i cant put him as my beneficiary because we are not yeg married and we dont plan to marry yet as we are saving funds for immigration matterd. Please help. Im already stressed. :/ thankz

You can use any mail delivered to both of you at the same address. Do you both have cell phones? Are the cell phone bills sent to both of you at the house? Do you have the same address on your drivers licences? Are your tax returns sent to the house? What address does your employer have on file? Is this address on your payslips? There are so many things you can send. You could also get one of his parents to write a letter stating you both live with them and how long you have lived there, get it notarized. You can also have letters notarized from your family stating that they are aware of your relationship and that you both live together.

We sent all of these things in for proof of common law BUT our application was a family class (my bf is a Canadian citizen) so I'm only assuming the level of proof required is the same.

Address and next of kin listed in your passport. Credit card bills. Address listed on voters list. Medical coverage covering you both. Make sure postmark or start date on items is BEFORE the ITA date to prove more than one year as common law, otherwise it could be interpreted as self serving.
