Hey guys,

I have my citizenship test coming up next month and I have to take my IMM 5292 or IMM 1000 with me. I couldn't find my IMM 1000 but found my IMM 5292.

However, I'm unsure whether this is an original document or not. It has COLOR on it, but it seems to have "worn" out ink or carbon ink or something. Is this supposed to be it? Or is it supposed to be completely readable?

How does your IMM 5292 look?

Thanks!!

Lol.. that should be it..

Mine is faded too. As long as there is little color and little carbon on it. Then it's the original :)

Goodluck :)

You guys are awesome! Fast replies :) Appreciate it :)

Quick question guys: The paper also asked for "documents that support your citizenship application like birth certificate etc"

What does "etc" include? I have my birth certificate, but that's about it!! =/

Really confused

I had my test this morning, the officer did not even bother to ask for my birth certificate. But bring it, in case.

Apart from the original COPR, PR CARD, PASSPORT, HEALTH CARD. I offered to give her a copy of my CBSA, she appreciated it and kept on my file. She did ask for proof of employment. I gave her letters of employment, I offered for T4 slips, but she said, not needed.

Nothing else was requested :) Goodluck

You don't need to bring a birth certificate unless you are applying with your children (to prove they're your children).

Also, I recommend making some photo copies of your form IMM 5292 for your records because the carbon on the origin will continue to degrade and the landing document is sometimes required at a later date (applying for pension, etc.).

Awesome :) Thanks guys! I'll take the docs just in case.

I DO have a couple of copies of my IMM 5292. They are simple black and white copies. Should I be looking to get them certified and true?
